Earlier today, I reported about the Metal Gear Solid 4 trophy patch that’s currently in development. At the time, no other features of the patch were known. However, confirmation has begun to surface that the patch will also add support for users to do a full installation of the game in one go. Currently, the game installs pieces at the beginning of each chapter. Konami does confirm that the trophy support comes to both existing owners and future owners of the game, however, the full installation patch is only under the budget-priced version of the game. Don’t take this as confirmation that the feature won’t make it’s way to us existing owners, as Konami has yet to make an official announcement. I for one, hope that current owners get the full installation patch as I felt a bit annoyed that the game kept having to install partially as I progressed. The patch is set to release alongside the new “Best Edition” of the game this August.
