Valve has announced that they will be expanding to provide more than just games on Steam. The company has announced that it will be bringing several non-gaming apps to its digital distribution platform, ranging “from creativity to productivity”. Valve says, just like games, these applications will make use of many Steamworks feature such as simple installation, automatic updates and saving to Steam Cloud. These new titles will be available starting on September 5th. Afterwards, developers will be able to submit their own applications to Steam.
