GameStop Offering Free Case and Game with PlayStation Vita Purchase

With all the launch excitement for the PlayStation Vita starting to die out, we are starting to see promotions on the system. The first is at GameStop and seems to be a good offer for some. If you a PlayStation Vita at GameStop before April 27, you get a free case and a free game of your choice with it. Sadly, you have no choices to choose from for the case and selection of games is limited to ModNation Racers, Hotshots Golf and Wipeout. Then, all the games listed require a memory card that you’ll need to purchase separately. While this deal could be a little better, it’s a good one if you were planning on picking up a PlayStation Vita any time soon. You can find the deal at the source link below.

Sony Says No PSP to PS Vita Transfer Program for North America

Back in November last year, Sony revealed a transfer program which allowed PSP Gamers to obtain a discount on the digital Vita version of games they physically own. The transfer tool even made its debut alongside the japanese launch of the Vita in December 2011. Now Sony has announced that there will not be a North American version of the UMD Passport tool to do the same in America. This means that if gamers wish to play their PSP UMD Games, they’ll have to keep their PSP or buy them on the PlayStation Vita at full price.

Everything else gets no multiplied bonus but it still earns you points nonetheless.
