Continuing the XBox Live Countdown to 2012 Sale, Counter-Strike Global Offense is half off today on XBox Live. Opposite to yesterday’s sale, Counter-Strike: GO is the only discounted game in today’s sale. Nonetheless, you can purchase Counter-Strike: Global Offense for 600 Microsoft Points today. Released August of this year, the game has received fairly good reviews, if you have not gotten a chance to play it yet, it might be worth considering it today.

Capcom has released the official demo for the highly anticipated Resident Evil 6 today. To select players for now anyway. The demo is currently available to download on XBox Live for gamers who purchased Dragon’s Dogma for XBox 360. The public demo for both the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360 will be available online later this year, starting from September 5th. The demo will give players a look at all three campaigns set to be included in the final game release. Resident Evil 6 will be making its way to shelves later this year on October 2nd. After rumors of its return, Activision has confirmed “Nuketown 2025″ as a map for the Call of Duty: Black Ops II multiplayer. Activision says that the map will be available at launch as a pre-order bonus from “participating retailers”. This bonus map, a reimagined version of the original from the first Black Ops will be available as a bonus download for the PS3, XBox 360 and PC (including Steam!). I loved the original Nuketown map and I look forward to seeing Nuketown 2025. To quote Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia: ”Flat out, Nuketown was a blast to play before, and we’re excited about the reimagined Nuketown 2025 in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Minecraft’s XBLA Edition will be getting a significant update tomorrow. The patch will bring several bug fixes to the game, including enemy spawning, zombie pigmen, save crashes and several other things. It will also fix an issue that prevents players from entering the nether properly. The update will also bring auto-saving and the ability to turn tooltips on and off. Ken Levine, Game Designer of Irrational Games, has announced that BioShock Infinite will not be released during 2012. Instead, the game has a new release date of February 26, 2013. The game will be not be at this year’s E3 Expo or any other game events either. Irrational Games wants to ensure that BioShock Infinite will be a top-notch experience for games. “BioShock Infinite is a very big game, and we’re doing things that no one has ever done in a first-person shooter” explains Levine. The team wishes to maximize every bit of time they have before launch and preparing for game events take away time from development. That’s an awfully long wait, but it sounds like it will definitely be worth it in the end!
We’ve heard rumors but now we finally have a concrete announcement. The Elder Scrolls Online, a massively multiplayer online Elder Scrolls game is happening. The game is being made by Zenimax Online Studios, a studio founded by Bethesda’s parent company for the purpose of developing massively multiplayer online games. Not much detail about the game has been announced, but we can hope for some more details to emerge at E3. So far we know from Game Informer that the game takes place “a millennium before the events of Skyrim as the daedric prince Molag Bal tries to pull all of Tamriel into his demonic realm.” Game Informer also talks about a teaser trailer being unveiled tomorrow. Ninja Gaiden, what started as an NES 8-bit series (though also having a beat em up counterpart in the arcade) that provided the player with intense platforming based on the players multitasking skills, turned into a similarly described hack-slash action series on the original XBOX back in 2004, developed by the princes of perverts, Team Ninja. Ninja Gaiden 3 has an uphill battle to face with the departure of Tomonobu Itagaki, the man responsible for the reboot of Ninja Gaiden in 2004, many fans say Ninja Gaiden is in trouble, now under the control of the Ninja Gaiden Sigma director Yosuke Hayashi, who’s known to considerably taint the original versions of Ninja Gaiden (2004) and Ninja Gaiden II (2008), with updated versions titled “Sigma” at the end of them. Now that he’s in charge of the Ninja Gaiden series from here on it, it definitely appears to be the case.
Activision’s Official Call of Duty: Black Ops 2′s website has gone public ahead of tonight’s NBA Playoffs reveal. The site confirms the release date of November 13, 2012 as well as gives a small detail about the game. The
