After rumors of its return, Activision has confirmed “Nuketown 2025″ as a map for the Call of Duty: Black Ops II multiplayer. Activision says that the map will be available at launch as a pre-order bonus from “participating retailers”. This bonus map, a reimagined version of the original from the first Black Ops will be available as a bonus download for the PS3, XBox 360 and PC (including Steam!). I loved the original Nuketown map and I look forward to seeing Nuketown 2025. To quote Treyarch Studio Head, Mark Lamia: ”Flat out, Nuketown was a blast to play before, and we’re excited about the reimagined Nuketown 2025 in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. We can’t wait to play with everyone come this November.” So far, both Amazon and GameStop have the map available as a bonus for pre-order.

In Sony’s E3 Press Conference today, that Call of Duty title for PlayStation Vita we kept hearing rumors about was confirmed. Nothing else was announced, besides the official title being “Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified”.

Looks like the Infinity Ward team means serious business when they introduced a new ban system, one cheater who was caught recently was issued a 5,000 day ban. Robert Bowling, IW Creative Strategist, confirmed on Twitter, this 5,000 day ban is effectively a permanent ban. Thinking about it, calling a 5,000 day ban a permanent ban is a bit lenient, considering it’s only a thirteen and half years ban, it really can’t be considered a permanent ban. Moral of the story? Cheaters never prosper!
