PlayStation Vita Receiving Over 100 PSOne Classics Next Week

Sony has announced that a new firmware update coming to the Vita next week will bring support for PSOne classics to be played on the Vita.  With this update, Vita gamers will be able to access over 100 PSOne classics from PSN next week including Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII and Resident Evil 2. Firmware update 1.8 is set to roll out on August 28 and will also bring Cross-Controller support, a mode which allows you to use your Vita as a PlayStation 3 controller.

PS3 Firmware 4.20 Now Available For Download

Sony has just released an all-new update for the PlayStation 3. The update brings several sound-related enhancements, an enhanced Saved Data Utility tool. PlayStation 3 Firmware 4.10 Now Available

Sony has just released a new PlayStation 3 Update, Version 4.10. This update brings a new Terms of Service for you to accept as part of the PlayStation Network being renamed to the Sony Entertainment Network (SEN). Apart from the name change, there’s a something else worthwhile to check out. The update brings major improvements to the PlayStation 3′s Internet Browser. The browser now works much faster and displays pages more accurately.

PS3 Firmware 3.70 Brings Online Saves and Trophy Sync

A recent blog post on Sony’s PlayStation blog has revealed that PS3 Firmware 3.70 will be coming “soon”. Notable features for PlayStation Plus Subscribers, the ability to backup your game save files online automatically. Subscribers will be asked if they want to enable this when playing a go for the the first time and can enable it later on from the XMB if they choose. Plus Members also get the feature of getting their trophies automatically synced to their online profile. Other notable features that are also available for regular users include the ability to recommend PSN Content to friends, new TV/Video section in the XMB and a few tweaks to extend the capability of 3D Blu-Ray Movies. This might be one update to look forward to try out since the PSN Outage.
